What can this date calculator do?
Use it three ways: find the number of days between two dates, add a number of days to a date to find a future date, or subtract days to find a past date. It is useful for deadlines, deliveries, holidays and any time you need to count days precisely.
For the difference between two dates, you can also count working days only, which skips weekends and UK bank holidays, handy for service levels, notice and project planning.
Worked example
The number of days from 1 January 2026 to 25 December 2026 is 358 days. Counting working days only (excluding weekends and bank holidays) gives about 246 days.
Adding 90 days to 1 June 2026 lands on 30 August 2026.
Frequently asked questions
Are both start and end dates counted?
The days-between mode counts the gap between the dates. The working-days option counts each qualifying day in the range inclusively.
Which bank holidays are used?
England and Wales bank holidays are used for the working-days option. Scotland and Northern Ireland differ on some dates.
Can I add weeks or months instead of days?

Does it handle dates in different years?
Yes. You can span any range of dates, including across multiple years, and leap years are handled automatically.
